Getting Along at BGT Forums
I expect you to get along in these forums.  You absolutely do not have to like people, however I expect you to be civilized and respectful in your conversations with others.  Remember, most will be Brownwood area firearm folks.  People that share your passions of shooting boom boom sticks, self defense, concealed carry and other fun toys.

You Don't Get to Be a Douche
I (Trey) am a firm believer in the natural right of property.  As such, this forum is my personal property and is not a public resource.  I pay for it and its upkeep so you are not entitled to say anything you want in any way you wish.  Let me explain it this way.  You are entitled to spray paint in giant red letters what you think about something when it's on your personal property like your home or car.  But should I then be required to let you spray paint your thoughts on my home or car?   Of course not.  As such your comments must conform with our Terms of Service (TOS).

We may very well attract someone of differing political/religious/etc beliefs and as such (as the TOS will explain) there are some things we will not allow.  You are not allowed to say anything you want.  You can say anything you want on your own website/blog/forum, you may say anything that aligns with the TOS on this site.  Anything that breaks the TOS is subject to deletion and permanent banning.

No SPAM-skis
Please do not be SPAM-ey.  If you are new and are coming on to sell your stuff, check in with me (Trey) first since we likely have a place for you to advertise.  Few things turn people off more than coming into a place like this without building relationships first and selling your stuff.  Again, we want you to advertise what you have, so please touch base with me first.  Already I've created forums that you can post your training classes and CHL courses and calendars at no charge to you.  Email Trey about advertising.

Can't Argue With Moderators
I will be selecting folks from the community that will serve as Admins and Moderators for BGT Forums.  Occasionally we will get folks that disagree with how we run the forum and they will be quickly warned about their TOS violation.  Some will go the route of the Douche Lord and continue to violate the TOS.  In that event you will be removed and banned permanently by our Admins and Moderators.  I will be selecting my Admins and Moderators carefully from the Brownwood area looking for both technical skill and the right personality.  They will be good men and women that care about BGT Forums so what they say will go.

Snipers have an old adage.  "If you run, you will only die tired."  Ours is similar.  "Argue with a moderator about TOS rules, and you will only be frustrated and get banned."  Arguing is not advised and continuing to break TOS will get you banned.

Summary
Outside of this, don't let all the hard talk spook you off.  We have to do this for the turd nuggets that will show up.  The community here at BGT is a bunch of men and women that love firearms and want a safe place to sell, trade, and discuss their weapons and related topics.  Please don't hesitate to offer up ideas, threads you want to see, discussions, or whatever might be relevant to BGT Forums.  I want this place to be somewhere firearm friendly folks want to come to hang out, talk, and connect. Essentially, I can make this place what you all are wanting/needing.
